Electric Blue Maxi Dress

Head-to-toe electric blue? I mean, if you're feeling electric, why not?

Draped Kaftan Dress

As much as I miss the magical feeling of Ramadhan, I can't deny the inevitable fun of the month of Syawal in which every weekend is filled with Raya Aidilfitri open houses and weddings. That only means you get the best of foods and the best of time with family and friends.

I love dressing up in a breezy kaftan on these weekends. Daytime can get super hot here and when you plan to be out all day long, dressing comfortably is definitely a priority.

If I Could Have One Wish For Myself...

What would it be?

Off the top of my head, it's this: to do my "living in Paris" stint all over again.

Pont des Arts, Paris, 2013

If some of you are thinking "That's ridiculous, you've already experienced THAT, pick another wish", I'll tell you why I'd reply with, "No thanks, please. I'd really like to stick with my Paris wish."

A couple of reason as to why that is:

(1) Um, you guys, it's PARIS. Only Parisians would say wanting to live in Paris is ridiculous (or maybe not, because IT IS PAGHEE),
(2) All I had were a crappy digital camera and an iPhone 4 to document my adventures in Paris and other parts of Europe, but I now have this pretty fabulous basic smart digital camera.

Avon Ultra Color Lipstick in 1406 Cherry Rush

I really enjoy trying out new lipsticks but it's something else when I come across a shade that turns out to be my 'absolute favourite' for a long while.

I don't remember when I bought this lipstick but I was wearing it in my post Do the Palazzo, dated 25 February this year, so it must have been early this year. It wasn't love at first use but I found myself reaching for this lipstick more and more; in fact, I've decided to call it my MLBB even though my natural lip colour is nothing like it!

Not to say that Avon's Cherry Rush is a 100% perfection, though.

Old Love: Purple Cotton-Jersey Kaftan Dress

A great cotton kaftan dressor caftan, as some of you might spell it—is so hard to come by. I met this one a good three years ago, a few weeks before I started donning the hijab.

It was love at first sight.

Floral Geometric Maxi Dress

I don't think I'll ever find another maxi dress that's as dainty as it is loud.

Eid Aidilfitri Outfit: Ombré Kaftan, Kate Spade MRANDMRS Box Clutch & Zara Hearts Shades

This is the fifth (!) time Shah and I have celebrated Eid Aidilfitri as husband and wife, and this year it was celebrated in my hometown of good old Petaling Jaya.
I don't know why but in Malaysia, it is sort of customary for a husband and his wife to be dressed in identical colours, with some even going as far as dressing up in traditional garbs tailored from the same exact fabric (and little tots of theirs usually follow suit, too). My guess is, well, we all just look more adorable that way.
Usually I would decide my outfit first as it's a lot easier for Shah to find the perfect matching baju Melayu and samping. However, fate had it that in the first few days of Ramadhan, we met and chatted with a friendly, sweet uncle in Pekan Rabu  in Alor Setar who probably liked us enough to slash down the price of a green baju Melayu  I was eyeing in his shop to a price Shah and I could not say not to.
I then had to make it a mission to find an Eid outfit that would match his. Thankfully the mission turned out to be an easy one!
