Birthday Outfit: Red Maxi Dress

This is officially the reddest dress I've ever worn.

I got mine at Girlie's Barn, a lovely shop filled with the girliest things in Subang Parade. This dress was, I think, RM 99, but I got it for half price during their year-end sale.

But if you're ever in the mood for loads of similar dresses at a way, way way wayyy cheaper price, head over to Berjaya Times Square; look for the little stalls in the center of one of the top floors and other small boutiques for crazy cheap dresses and other clothes. You can in fact get this same exact dress there!
I'd have to say shopping in Berjaya Times Square is a very, very interesting experience.

I paired the red maxi dress with my mandarin Michael Kors Selma, a matching geometric-print scarf and my worn out tan loafers.

So, OK, I know putting together a dainty, delicate red dress with a pair of loafers isn't the most ideal pairing in the world but I honestly have no proper ballet flats, which is a travesty, I know. I hope I can put your agitation to rest by saying I'm on the hunt for cute proper flats. I'm very picky though as most affordable shoes out there love torturing the back of my heels and give them blisters. Even my Keds give me blisters so I don't even touch them any more (And my Keds are all so adorable too. Cue sadface).

I've gotten two pairs of flats so far though: a nude one and a dark chocolate one. But still no black!

If you look closely, there is a butterfly resting on my head. Hence, the delighted expression!
