Down Down Baby

The all year round hot and humid weather in Malaysia has always been more my cup of tea than the coldness of winter season (and sometimes of late autumn and early spring) but even so, I find myself missing the good times that I had in cold Tokyo early last month.

It had rained earlier that day but then the downpour turned to drizzle, then turned to plain teasing. The sun came out, shining and smiling brightly but the temperature didn't hike up that much so I was glad I had my trusty knee-length mint green down jacket with its furry hood.

This is the one jacket that I trust to keep me warm. It's actually one of my least favourite winter jackets, on the account of it being shapeless and bulky. But when I think it about, I had some of the most fun moments in my life wearing this jacket, and they all happened in Paris: witnessing the festivity of Christmas in Disneyland in 2013, welcoming 2014 in by dancing in the rain to Psy's Gangnam Style in Walt Disney Studios Park and staring in wonderment at the heap of soft snow in mid-January.

Fast forward a little over a year of when I was in Tokyo, taking one of the most scenic walks I've ever taken, and I thought of how I really should treasure this mint down puffer jacket more!
