How To Conceal Stubborn Breakouts

My skin has thankfully been kind enough lately; I no longer experience the nasty breakouts that used to feed drama to my early 20s years. That being said, I still get nasty spots here and there which would spawn those annoying lingering scars.

The worst part is when a breakout is just starting to dry out, which makes the skin texture on the spot get all crinkly and bumpy; no matter how much concealer I put, by the end of the first hour, a ring of concentrated concealer would form around that it. (Question: Does this ever happen to you?).

So I have to say I am so grateful for beauty articles like this one from because I actually learn a genuinely useful tip from it. I've been applying the tip to this particularly annoying, grainy little dark spot on the right side of my face for the past two weeks.
And you know what, it actually works, guys. Seriously.

Here's how to do it:

1. Squeeze out the tiniest bit of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion onto your ring finger.
2. Dab evenly on the naughty spot until it "disappears" onto the skin.
3. Dip a cotton bud into your concealer tub; I don't like dipping my finer into the tub straight for sanitary reasons (or if your concealer is liquid and in a tube, make do with your own method of application).
4. Apply onto the spot and pat gently using your ring finger, making sure the edges are buffed out.

I tried out this method at my friend's wedding and the concealer lasted on me from early morning till very late afternoon, which is a rare occurence for me (Fact: Malaysia is super hot and humid so any makeup WILL slide around on your face). What I did was to do steps 1-2 on my bare-of-any-makeup, well-moisturised face, proceeded to apply foundation all over my face, repeat steps 1-2 again, then continue with steps 3 and 4. This way the foundation AND the concealer that were applied on top of the spot would slide around a lot less than usual.

I only own this one eye primerI LOVE this Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potionbut I'd say feel free to try this tip with any other eye primer.

Got a particularly stubborn breakout that needs some major concealing? Seriously, give this a go.
