Seeing Red - and Pink. (Oh and HAPPY 2017!)

HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYSSS

Thank you so, SO much for continuing to visit Affordorable; I will forever be grateful for your support. If you're new here, Hello and Welcome! Of course, I sure do hope to see you around again - plenty of love to go around here  ♥  ♥  ♥

Ideally, I would love for my first post of 2017 to be an actual outfit from 2017, but I spent the 1st of January cleaning up the house, after which my big brother came over in the late afternoon to play Star Wars: Battlefront on Xbox with Shah (a machine I personally only use for watching Netflix and YouTube, by the way), which meant  photo-taking prime time was spent listening to them throwing insults at each other while I work on my laptop. Later in the evening, my mom, my little brother, and little sister came over for takeaway Nando's and watched the movie Jumper (my sister chose it). Honestly? I wouldn't want to spend the first day of the new year any other way.

By the way, New Year's Eve for me was spent with the same bunch of people including my big sister and her family, playing card games and horsing around with our nephew and niece. We heard fireworks going off at midnight but unfortunately couldn't see anything more than bright haloed lights from where we were, but luckily Shah and I caught a very close-up show of fireworks in our cosy neighbourhood on our way back home around 2am. These people CRAY, I'm telling you; bet they woke up a couple of sleeping babies...(and their angry parents/grandparents.)
. . . . . . .

This was one of the two outfits I wore on the last day of my anniversary trip with Shah in December last year (OMG "last year"). I know some people are not fans of red and pink being together in the same entity and whatnot, but I've always loved seeing the combo done right - and I saw it in this Mango jacket.

Hopefully I'll be able to shoot one look tomorrow (public holiday YAYY YASS). I sincerely hope you all are having a great start to 2017! See you soon XO

Wearing: Mango jacket  |  H&M t-shirt  |  Zara jeans  |  Adidas Superstar sneakers

To see the previous outfits I wore on this anniversary trip: Peach Mesh Dress (Mesh, Guys. MESH.)Split Decision: Denim On Denim, and Cosy Hidden Cowl

  1. I absolutely love this little jacket Liyana!!! It has a bit of a Bohemian vibe and thus I'd gladly steal it from you!! I have pretty eclectic taste but this jacket has a special something I'm just attracted to!!

    1. I love it too, I wish I could get more wear out of it, instead of waiting to go somewhere a lot cooler!

You know what, it's funny, when I read your comment and you mentioned "Bohemian vibe", I just remembered I had an outfit post featuring a very similar jacket, and I literally named that post "That Embroided Bohemian Jacket..." (if you're interested, here's a link to it: http://www.affordorable.com/2015/03/that-embroided-bohemian-jacket_24.html). Believe it or not (I personally can't), I FORGOT I had that other jacket. I last wore it in Tokyo in April last year but I must've stashed it deep inside my closet or in a box somewhere right after. But I prefer this red-pink piece, though!
