Add Sheer Layer Under Your Top | Make An Outfit Extra Interesting

Sheer Layer Under A Top Style
I think I need more sheer tops like this just for the sake of having them as a decorative extra layer under any regular top...certainly makes an otherwise normal outfit like sweater + jeans appear a little bit more interesting, doesn't it? (PS: Blinged out shiny sneakers don't hurt, either.)

    1. Day'yum. You need to tell me where you find all those cool jeans of yours. These ones here are super awesome, Liyana, and so too those sneakers. All shiny and stuff.

      1. Both were accidental finds, as most good items are, it seems! I bought the jeans in Shanghai, they were made by a local China brand called Meters/Bonwe who did a collab with Disney. I have yet to see anything like it in Malaysia. But I think if you're able to find some cool patches, it's totally DIY material! As for the shoes, I passed by a shop I never heard of when I was in Genting Highlands last month and my eyes just landed on these shiny sneakers. AND they were 50% off! The staff said the shop is not even in KL yet, but they do have a branch in Penang. Weird, isn't it?

      2. I'm in Kuching right now and I'm going to hunt me down a pair if it's the last thing I do. They add such humour and fun to an outfit.

      3. Ahhh I thought so, I saw you sharing a video of mee kolok on Instagram! Mee kolok isn't really available in Semenanjung, I wonder why? Which is why I have tragically never tried it! I went to Kuching when I was really small so I didn't appreciate what was there, but will definitely look for it if I visit the East side one day soon! Enjoy Kuching, Sheela, and I hope you find a similar sheer something!

    2. I'm thinking that you've gone a bit "cutting edge" here Liyana. I do have to say that I favor the dressed up look more but I love to see you try new things and this is really unique.
I'd like to see this sheer layer over a narrow, black pant, with that gorgeous yellow (that you look so lovely in) for the top and a black and yellow floral or plaid hijab/scarf. Maybe with some fun high top sneakers!! Love, Jude

      1. I definitely want to layer the sheer top over plain pants some day, I just haven't thought which pants yet and what top! High-top sneakers, I'm on board with, for sure. You know what, I have never owned a plaid scarf, ever. I'm trying to decide if that's odd, if that's something I should have owned by now. I'm not too enthusiastic about huge "boxes" in the plaid but a cute gingham-like one sounds kind of cool, no?

    3. A yellow and black gingham check would be very fun.
