Rolling In The Jeans

Rule number two that "govern" the use of the Travelling Pants, of The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, state that:
"You must never double-cuff the Pants. It's tacky. There will never be a time when this will not be tacky."

Sorry to disappoint the sisterhood, but...cuffing the jeans, double or triple or more, has now never been less tacky.
In fact, it's the go-to style trick now.

I had on my pair of straight-cut Levi's that borders on the boyfriend-jeans territory. Boyfriend jeans usually have that edgy feel to them by either having a few artistic holes over the knee area or are frayed at the hem but my pair here might just be the most boring boyfriend jeans ever. I find that most affordable boyfriend jeans that are currently in stores are a little bit too unconventional for a hijabi, though, so I tend to look for plainer looking ones to be on the safe side.

That being said, these Levi's are maybe a little tad too plain. If I had worn these jeans as they are, I get that funny 'mum-jeans' vibe off of them but cuffing them up or rolling them up multiple times instantly breathes new life into them.

Cuffing the jeans is a great way to update the look of any old jeans you own, plus it's the easiest way to give that pair of jeans you wear too many times a whole new feel. I think pairing cuffed pants with heels is such a pretty combo but I love to match those cuffs with some casual sneakers as well.
