Striped Shirt + Striped Skirt

It was the day I unintentionally matched my outfit to the cool grey structures of a city and its cloudy sky...

Guys, I am OBSESSED with this outfit. Shirt, skirt, bag, polka dot socksALL of them.

I saw the matching stripes in Avan Lily in Shibuya 109, the very same shop where I bought my denim bag in my March Tokyo trip and it was lust at first sightor probably interest at first sight but lust at first touch, because I had to pull them out of the rack to get a proper look at them.

They were on the sales rack but even if they were selling at retail, I'd still bring these babies home because once I brought them into the fitting room with me and tried them on, I knew it wasn't just lust anymoreit was love. I would even go as far as calling them my dream outfit. Fo realz, guys, which means they're two of the best things I ever bought in Tokyo, if not the two best.

I never used to be a fan of matchy-matchy, especially from shoulders to toe but I figured that somewhere and sometime along my trips in Tokyo, I must have caught the matchy-matchy bug from the locals. The sheer number of well-dressed women who had on a two-piece summer suit in Shibuya and Omotesando was enough to convinced me 'match is best'.

These shirt and skirt are definite gems in my closet now, and the fact that they're from Tokyo makes them even more precious to me.

By the way, those sockshonestly, I need more of those. MORE.
