Photo Diary: ArtScience Museum, Singapore, 2019

Taking this blog back to 2019 for a little throwback!
(You know, 2019, as in the year BEFORE, except in actuality the virus came to be that very year towards its end, only we civilians were oh so blissfully unaware of its existence until early 2020).

I did a post on the outfit I wore in these photos here immediately afterwards (click here to see it: My Beetlejuice Pants Pair With Its Faithful Partner (Finally)) but for some reason I never got around to sharing photos I snapped from the mentioned exhibitions.

Better late than never, amirite?

If you've been reading The Good Weekender for a while, you might notice that I am a self-proclaimed Disniac, or what some people term as an "annoying adult Disney fan".

(I say just let me and my peeps enjoy things, please!
Also, in our defence, Disney owns Star Wars and the Marvel universes, both of which I am a fan of, and are free to be enjoyed by both children and adults, just like the other older-school Disney stuff.
But I digress.)

So when I found out there was going to be an ongoing exhibition titled Wonderland on Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures In Wonderland at the same time as my Singapore trip (or more accurately Shah's Singapore trip that I got to tag along), I was excited to say the least. Exhibitions like this almost never happened in Malaysia, so of course, I had to make time for it! I am not as big of a fan of the book as I am of the 1951 cartoon film, but since the exhibition was showcasing how the book has been portrayed through films as well as other aspects of pop culture, the Disney film was bound to make an appearance somewhere.

I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed walking through Wonderland and wish I could redo the trip all over again. Since I had time to spare, I decided to experience a sensory exhibition on lights on the same day as well, which was just as enjoyable (can't remember the actual exhibition name, sorry guys).

And that was how I ended up with all these fun shots! They were taken with either my Sony camera or iPhone:

TGW works as a journal for me so a big part of why I'm posting these photos is also so that I can easily look back at them in the future to reminisce all these wonderful moments I was lucky enough to experience.
