Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick (Creme) in 240 Sandalwood Beige

Sandalwood Beige is discontinued in Malaysia?

Say it isn't so!

I recently surveyed Revlon's many gorgeous lipstick shades in a pharmacy and noticed the absence of Sandalwood Beige. When asked, one of the salesgirls replied, "That shade is discontinued lah, sorry."

You mean the exact lipstick shade Halle Berry wore in her amazing Revlon Super Lustrous ads (albeit years ago) is no longer available to be purchased?

I went home and immediately checked if Sandalwood Beige is still amongst the 82 shades that Revlon Super Lustrous range offers and to my relief, it is.
Although I shouldn't be too relieved, because as available it is to the rest of the world, Malaysians no longer have the luxury of freely owning a new tube of Sandalwood Beige.

For now I just need to enjoy my remaining Sandalwood Beige then, which I re-discovered and am loving at the moment.

Breaking down The Good and The Bad of Sandalwood Beige:

The Good
  • Versatile nude brown shade; can be worn with just mascara or paired with smokey eyes
  • Great staying power
  • Moisturising (I can do without lip balma huge plus in my book)
  • Well-pigmented
  • Price tag is kind to the wallet
The Bad
  • No longer available in Malaysia

The tube:

I wasn't a big fan of Sandalwood Beige when I bought it which explains why I have so much of it left in the tube. It's always a nice surprise though, to go through your own makeup collection and re-discover something that you bought ages ago.

On the lips:

I'm just going to have to enjoy my Sandalwood Beige while it lasts!

My other absolute favourite shades from the Revlon Super Lustrous range:

    1. My skin is very golden yellow so it was very hard to find a good foundation match for my skin, especially back in the days when I used to buy foundations only from pharmacies. All these "drugstore" foundations always claimed to have yellow undertone lah apa lah but then I met NARS Sheer Glow which is widely known to be very yellow, so I only ever wear NARS Sheer Glow now, and Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua once in a while.

I think lah gambar-gambar kat sini semua when I pakai NARS Sheer Glow in Syracuse, which it really is my perfect match, so thank you for noticing that! It makes me feel all "glowy" to be complimented on my choice of foundation because foundation-hunting was SUCH work!
