9 Things To Wear This Autumn (That You & I Probably Already Have In Our Closet)

Well, this would be purely theoretical for me since tropical Malaysia is not at all experiencing autumn but reliably hot and humid as ever, albeit with a bit more rain lately!

However, having lived overseas and travelled to a few four-season countries, autumn was always my favourite season, with spring coming in a close second. Mid-autumn has to be the best as it would be when the temperature dips low but not low enough to be confused with winter's bite, and the leaves all start to turn into those gorgeous warm hues before shedding to the ground.

Obviously, I'm experiencing major FOMO what with all the fabulous autumnal posts I'm reading (love 'em, keep 'em coming!). But no one says I can't reminisce — and daydream! — about my autumn pasts.

With that, I came up with a way to join your autumn party: dig through my own closet to see what I could wear if I were to sit in a cafe, gazing out into a street lined with trees that are turning brown while sipping a pumpkin spiced latte. (<--- Part of the daydreaming thing I mentioned earlier.)

PS: By the way, PSL has never made its way to this side of the world, so I need to know if it's really all of that, guys? If it's not, what other autumnal beverages do you dig?

Here are the nine things I own that I would utilise this autumn (oh how I wish I could):

1. Blazer

    2. Military Jacket

      3. Cutout Boots

        4. Oversized Denim Jacket

          5. Sock Boots

            6. Sweater Dress

            7. Earthy-toned Pieces

              8. Dark Lipstick

                9. Leopard Print

Which of these 9 things do you already have in your closet?
Which other pieces you already own will you wear this autumn?

                  1. Clearly you've found opportunities to enjoy autumnal weather fashions on many occasions. When your travels take you and Shah to weather that is dramatically different from the heat of Indonesia, I love the way you relish the opportunity to dress for it! Your life of travel and all that it entails in greater awareness of world cultures, art, architecture, history and people is no match for a few PSLs and some rust and gold outfits.
I just love the long grey maxi dress on you Liyana. This post came before I started following you!
Autumn is a short and wonderful time of rapid change. I'll be 67 tomorrow and I've always felt a bit introspective and melancholic at this time of year. Savoring lifes moments gathers intensity as we age and Fall definitely carries that message. Much love, Jude

                    1. My dear Judy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Or I should say happy belated birthday <3<3<3 I still can't believe you're even 60 sometimes, let alone 67. I hope you had a wonderful birthday celebration filled with love and happiness and contentment xxoo

I know it seems like I dress up all the time, but really, I don't; I wear the same ratty outfit repeatedly throughout the week, and only dress up when Shah and I get a free weekend (nowadays we mostly only get two free weekends a month). So when I travel I take the opportunity to dress up every day and I have a lot of fun doing so. Shah and I are very much aware of the many incredible opportunities that have been presented with us, and we try to savour every moment of them all =)

The snowy photos of your place of home you sent to me were just gorgeous, I have no doubt it is every bit as beautiful in the autumn!

However I do not have a sweater dress that looks as good as yours.... send it to Scotland immediately (if not sooner!!) I sure it's far to warm for it where you are :oP
Seriously though, you make EVERYTHING look cool!
                    Love your style. <3 <3 <3

                    1. Thank you Samantha! <3

Sadly the sweater dress IS too warm for where I live =( but I'm secretly hoping Shah gets a surprise work trip somewhere during autumn or winter just so that I could wear it again!
If not, I'll just try to wrangle a trip to somewhere higher up the mountains where it is veryyy slightly cooler and the dress becomes passable to wear...
