An Offer I Couldn't Refuse: Sleeping Beauty Tee & Wide-legged Jeans

As much as I miss being in Italy, I am so glad to be back safely in Malaysia. Looking forward to sharing photos of my trip but before I dived into my Italy photos, here's another outfit from the same staycation as when I wore the polka dot top + wrap palazzo.

Fun fact (fun for me, that is): I had to buy a new outfit because Shah and I only planned for a one-night stay, hence I only brought one full outfit with me! But, OK, a confession: our home was near enough to the hotel — about half an hour away — and I could've easily driven back home to get another outfit (Shah would've done it if he weren't battling a slight fever and a bad bout of coughing).

But I had another option offered by Shah: use his credit card to buy an entirely new outfit at the adjacent mall. (I'm guessing he felt bad that I had to drive all the way home.) Honestly, I'm not crazy to say no to that extremely rare offer, OK, guys, so off the mall I went!

I had a devious plan to buy something fancy to charge to Shah's CC (I'm that wife, yes) but I saw these white wide-legged jeans on sale and thought they were too good to pass up for my modest wardrobe.

When my siblings came to visit us later during the day, I made another visit to the same mall for dinner with them and to my joy, my younger sister, who knows about my obsession with all things Disney, spotted this Sleeping Beauty t-shirt that she knew I'd love.

I already had a denim jacket with me and extra pair of shoes in the car (also thankfully I always, always pack extra under thingies!) so in the end, I didn't even spend that much for my extra outfit.

Which staycation outfit do you prefer: this outfit or the previous polka dot + wrap palazzo pants?

          1. I find your love of all things Disney so charming Liyana! There's a genuine hopefulness in the Disney world of childhood delight that needs to move with us into adulthood. You've managed to engage with and continue that joy through your wardrobe. I'll bet Shah enjoyed seeing that you found frugal fun at the mall!!
As to which outfit I prefer... I like what works for you! Love, Jude

            1. Oh yes, Shah certainly appreciated that I went down the more frugal path at the mall, hahaha! Here's to hoping that would encourage him to pass me his CC more in the future =D

I don't know if my soft spot for all things Disney will ever go away (or if I should MAKE it go away as I age), but for now I'm just going to embrace it <3
