Photo Diary: Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel & Hollywood Hotel Scenes

Staying at a Disneyland hotel had been a dream of mine and Shah's ever since we went on our first Disneyland trip in Paris. I remember walking towards the exit after an incredibly exciting and satisfying yet exhausting day and staring wistfully at the windows of the hotel above, wishing we could just go straight to a room, take a shower and lie down on the bed while talking about our day in the park, instead of riding a 50-minute packed train home.

Photo Diary: Hong Kong Disneyland Scenes

If there is one thing I would change about my trip to Hong Kong Disneyland in December last year (last year as in 2019 sorry my bad I know how late this post is, but better late than never!), it would be to bring a normal lens for my camera which would have been good to capture sceneries; I only carried my macro lens which I always use for my outfit photos.

Nevertheless, you know what really mattered in the end? I went to DISNEYLAND!
(Also, thank God for iPhone cameras.)

We headed straight to the hotel after arriving in Hong Kong in the afternoon and immediately got ready for our first day in the park. Hong Kong Disneyland is the smallest Disneyland so with a two-day park ticket in our hand, we didn't have to rush trying out every single ride we had our eyes on and had our most relaxing Disneyland trip ever. Well, as relaxing as a Disneyland trip could be, anyway.

Day 1

Will Repeat Wearing Everything. Well, Except...

These photos are from my "archive", meaning they were taken AGES ago but just never found their way to this corner of the web. Hardly a favourite outfit (hence, temporarily archived) and I doubt I will ever repeat this head-to-toe, but I will repeat wearing every single thing I wear here!

Disneybounding at Hong Kong Disneyland, Part III-II: Queen Elinor the Bear

Am I right in saying there is not a chance anyone guessed Shah Disneybounded as the black bear from Brave?
And not the cursed one that Princess Merida's father a.k.a. King Fergus regarded as his mortal enemy too, but the bear that Queen Elinor transformed into after eating the cake embedded with…

Disneybounding at Hong Kong Disneyland, Part III: Princess Merida

This is the third and final part of my Hong Kong Disneybounding experience, which involved a lot of browsing through photos at the park and the hotel, which, inevitably, is making me wishing hard for more Disneyland trips.

Disneybounding at Hong Kong Disneyland, Part II-II: Donald Duck + What Is Disneybound?

Perhaps I should have taken the time to explain the concept before creating multiple posts on the subject: what IS this Disneybounding?
It all began with this rule: while kids are free to dress up as their favourite Disney character, it is a big no-no for adults. All Disneylands have cast members d…

Disneybounding at Hong Kong Disneyland, Part II: Daisy Duck

Onwards to Part II of III of my Disneybounding outfits from December last year, which, by the way, might just be my favourite one out of all three.Since I feel slight guilt over saying I favour this over my Minnie outfit (you'll always be my girl, Minnie!), I'm going to try to justify (to m…

Disneybounding at Hong Kong Disneyland, Part I-II: Mickey Mouse

Remember when I said I managed to convince Shah to Disneybound alongside me? Can I just say: he made the perfect Mickey to my Minnie. (I am biased, naturally.)His Disneybound Mickey outfit is based on the "fancier" Mickey in the black blazer, red pants, black shoes, and white waistcoat wi…

Disneybounding at Hong Kong Disneyland, Part I: Minnie Mouse

OK, I've finally done it —
I DISNEYBOUNDED, you guys! It's (weirdly) been my dream for years to give Disneybounding a go, which is a Disneyland-related trend I learned about only after visiting the Disneylands of Paris, Tokyo, and Shanghai. Then, with our 10th wedding anniversary approaching …

Not Mad About This Donald Duck Denim Jacket

As you can tell, I'm not ready to give up on my Disney things. Not that I have to, anyway, because good news: I have the support to remain a Disney gal at heart forever from a couple of my readers last year!

The last Disneyland I visited was in Shanghai so it made sense that the city has shops…

Snow White at Dreamworks

Shah and I had the pleasure of visiting Motiongate Dubai theme park on our transit back from Milan, and on that note, why has nobody ever shared with me that there's a theme park worth visiting in Dubai?

Or, a better question: did YOU know there's a theme park in Dubai where The Hunger Gam…
