(Another) Printed Maxi Dress of My Dreams

After spending years complaining about not finding maxi dresses that I like, I think it's time I put a pause on it; not only did I recently acquire this dark amber geometric print maxi dress, but I also have this delightful yellow-blue number at my disposal now.

The fact that I bought this floral printed maxi dress at its full price was a testament as to how much I was desperate to own this dress. Let's just say if a (relatively) affordable maxi dress caught my eyes (and heart) at first sight, the hijabi-me is not letting it go.

I love how super flouncy and airy this maxi dress is — I swished it around so much, guys, couldn't help it! — just perfect for my very hot day out in Singapore. I paired the dress with my sweet baby blue sneakers but I've got to edge it up a bit somehow, which called for my black chain bag, plus thankfully I had Shah's black aviator shades to borrow for the day, too.

Definitely excited to accessorise this dress again in the near future! What do you think I should wear it with next?

  1. I may be as in love with the gorgeous print of this dress as you are Liyana! The blue background print is really pretty with the subtle yellow/sage of the large flowers. I've seen this dress! I probably saw it on the H&M site but I feel like it was elsewhere!
Anyway, it's great!! The blue sneakers are so fun with it and I think your smart and savvy NOT to be all matchy with your hijab. You chose to interplay it thus time and let the faboo print of the dress take center stage. Smart girl!!! :-) Love, Jude

    1. Thank you, Judy! I saw this dress on a blogger and knew I had to have it. I got lucky to get my hands on it, apparently the dress sold out fast! It was from a special H&M collaboration, so you probably did see it on their site.

I had such a hard time deciding what hijab colour to match with the dress. My instinct was to match it with the same blue or yellow in the print but now after reading your comment, I'm so glad I didn't!
